Loaded with culture, rich in heritage, abundant in natural beauty and buzzing with entertainment, there are plenty of things to do in Oslo. Make the most of your time in the city and discover its true character by indulging in a host of eclectic experiences. Just minutes from the city centre, the beaches lining the fjords are perfect for a day of sunbathing while the more rocky beaches make ideal biking trails. Moving inward, Vigelandsparken (a creation by one of Norway’s most prolific sculptors, Gustav Vigeland) is a sprawling, 80 acre sculpture park hosting over 200 bronze and granite sculptures, with a mammoth centrepiece carved from a single column of stone, which will take your breath away. The Norweigan National Opera and Ballet House is an architectural marvel and the venue for some spectacular shows ranging from ballet recitals to concerts, while the Oslo Cathedral is a landmark in the city and is definitely worth a visit.
