Berlin, a veritable Mecca for art enthusiasts offers many superlative experiences. Berlin has the world’s largest open air art space at the East Side Gallery that comprises of 1.3 km of murals and slogans. Take the underground tunnel to the Jewish Museum or get a taste of contemporary art at the Haus der kulturen der Welt nicknamed ‘The Oyster’ whose 1000 seater auditorium is packed with action round the year with film festivals, lectures and other performing arts events. Additionally, Germany’s largest collection of pacifist art is definitely view worthy at the Kaethe Kollwitz Museum, so is Thomas Olbricht’s largest private collection of pretty much everything ranging from skulls to erotic artifacts.
