If you are yearning for a getaway to the countryside, then this option is for you. Marrakech’s proximity to the Atlas Mountains makes it convenient to escape the hustle bustle of the city for the relaxed rhythm of the Moroccan countryside. It is possible to explore the countryside independently but the lack of facilities can make the process frustrating. We suggest opting for an excursion with a reputed travel agency. The day starts off by visiting traditional villages nestled between the mighty Atlas Mountains. This provides the perfect opportunity to experience the Berber way of life. You can spend your hours riding camels, visiting a local market, or hiking around one of the towns. There are a number of hikes in the area and almost all of them need no prior hiking experience. They are perfect for beginners and apt if you want to explore the area on foot.
