This peaceful beach is for those who truly want to get away from the hustle-bustle of big cities. Diveagar is a locale in Maharashtra, about four hours south of Mumbai. Small, quiet and untarnished, it was originally a fishing settlement, and encompasses a beach, the Roop Narayan temple, and local businesses engaged in coconut and beetle nut farming. Commercialisation has not yet seeped in, and visitors should stay at one of the home stays, surrounded by coconut and betel nut plantations. The sea-facing, medieval fort of Murud-Janjira is also nearby.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
