Time-travel to New France
With its narrow cobblestone streets, Old Montréal is a charming preservation of the city's early history as a New France colony. Most of the buildings, some dating back to the 17th century, have been carefully restored and along with the old-fashioned public squares, exude an old-world feeling.
Go south for a great view of Habitat 67, one of Montreal's architectural landmarks. If you need a break, skip Jacques Cartier Square and head to Olive Et Gourmando, a local favourite hangout which serves up excellent pastries and sandwiches.
