ATAF’s ‘Vola in Bus’ airport shuttle service runs to the main train station every half an hour between 6am and 11.30pm. A 24hr ticket costs EUR 4.50, and can be purchased on board, in the airport or from the train station. Alternatively, you can grab a taxi to anywhere in the centre for about EUR 25. A small but modern airport close to the cityWord to the wise: If you’re getting a taxi from the centre be aware that if the driver helps you with your bags, you'll be charged EUR 1 for each piece of luggage.
Just four kilometres north of the city centre, Florence's Amerigo Vespucci Airport (better known as Peretola Airport) - served by Alitalia, Air France, Lufthansa and many more - is very well-connected to the city.

All budget airlines - Ryanair, Easyjet, Wizzair - fly into Pisa Airport, which has good connections to Florence city centre by train, bus and taxi.
