Savi and Vid

Savi and Vid have been to over 500 cities in 70 countries, following their love of offbeat and luxury travel. From hiking glaciers in Alaska to dining with Penguins in South Africa, their adventures and photographs have been featured on several TV stations and newspapers, including Discovery Channel and the Huffington Post. They are particularly in love with road trips and in the last year alone, they’ve driven over 20,000 miles in a dozen countries. They write about their experiences on www.bruisedpassports.com.

There are riads and then there is Dar Sbihi. Here gorgeous bedrooms are ornamented with traditional wooden beds and mosaic tiles. Blue and white tiles can also be seen everywhere in the hotel’s corridors and splendid archways. Breakfast is served on the terrace under the legendary Moroccan sun – you will definitely want to linger over your meal and relish every last bit before heading out to the city for a day of sightseeing.

The owners Saad and Sybille still live here, which makes a stay at Dar Sbihi feel extremely personal. It seems as if one is staying at a friend’s house, not a hotel. This level of intimacy is hard to find in Marrakech and this is what makes Dar Sbihi so special.
