When it comes to hotels, Bangkok has never been short of five-star show-stoppers—but the Lebua at State Tower seems intent on redefining the genre. High-rise luxury in well-heeled Silom
Noteworthy for: The hotel was turned into a live movie set in 2010 for the filming of 'The Hangover Part II'.
It may be housed in the second tallest building in Bangkok, but the Lebua refuses to settle for a silver medal in any other category. At a generous 66 sq m, even the smallest superior balcony suite is bigger than some city apartments.
Fortunately, for a hotel that seems intent on creating the wow factor, elegance prevails throughout the 357 suites, which are kept polished but not showy. The most boastful element of the accommodations is their prodigious size.
