Located in a plush neighbourhood in the hills that rise above central Barcelona, ABaC has a reputation as the city's ultimate hotel for luxurious peace and calm. Barcelona's ultimate escapeNoteworthy for: ABaC is well known for hosting one of Barcelona's most innovative restaurants, overseen by star chef Jordi Cruz.
Word to the wise: While ABaC is conveniently opposite the Tibidabo metro station, it isn't in central Barcelona
Located in a plush neighbourhood in the hills that rise above central Barcelona, ABaC has a reputation as the city's ultimate hotel for luxurious peace and calm. It is perhaps best known for its double Michelin-starred restaurant (for which guests get priority booking), but ABaC's 15 beautifully furnished rooms, with views of the lovely public gardens opposite, are a draw in themselves, making guests feel like they're staying in a modernist country house as much as a big city hotel.
The pay-off for this is that ABaC is not right in the city's centre, and guests will need cabs or the metro to get around. But as many rooms have their own charming terraces and the hotel has a small but attractive spa, you might feel tempted not to leave the place at all.
