Airy, elegant designer hotelNoteworthy for: Hotel Josef's interior was designed by Eva Jiřičná, the renowned Czech architect behind many of both London and Prague's sleekest, most chic spaces.
Light-filled, eye-catching and contemporary, the four star Hotel Josef is so full of glass it sometimes feels like an enormous greenhouse. A substantial modern building in Prague's former Jewish quarter, its rooms are tastefully decorated and welcoming - in keeping with the general glassy theme, even the bathroom suites (equipped with rain showers) are transparent.
Rooms on the highest floors offer great views over Prague's rooftops, as does the relaxation deck of its top floor sauna. Supremely comfortable and pretty well situated, the hotel manages to create an air of calm that's nicely at odds with its central location.
