The new visa regime for 19 countries, including India, allows travellers to get a six-month tourist visa on the basis of their hotel reservation. This most recent development comes within a week of Russia announcing its plans to introduce visa-free travel for 11 countries and easing up of tourist visa requirements for some countries including India.
