The best zapiekanki in the city
Word to the wise: Endzior's location in the heart of Kazimierz makes it a great option after an evening bar-hopping.

Often described as "Polish pizza", the zapienkanka is Poland's favourite fast food. A halved baguette is topped with mushrooms and cheese, baked until the bread's crispy and the cheese melted, then finished with a generous squirt of tomato ketchup.
The most popular zapiekanki kiosks – Endzior and Krolewskie – are on Kazimierz's Plac Nowy. It's a matter of fierce local debate which serves the best, but Endzior seems to have gained the edge in recent years.
