Chef/owner Hugh Acheson, first a celebrity in the foodie world and now, thanks to 'Top Chef', a celebrity in the mainstream, hits the mark with this upscale, subtly Southern restaurant. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plates are piled high with satisfying, earthy, not-too-greasy but substantial offerings.

The Southern influence enters in the form of pickles and pecans and grits, but does not overwhelm this sophisticated menu. The vibe is warm, with courses labeled as 'snackies' (appetizers) and 'put-ups' (preserves), and a coffee bar and bocce court contribute to the convivial atmosphere.
