After a romantic rooftop patio drink, continue along Granville Street a short distance until you get to Vij's. Chef Vikram Vij's eponymous restaurant is often called the best restaurant in Canada. Serving gourmet, Indian-fusion cuisine in an intimate atmosphere, you have to get here early to get a seat. The popular spot does not take reservations and is sold out almost every night. But it's well worth the wait for dishes such as Vegetable koftas filled with almond masala in sour cream curry and Rajasthani style spicy goat with mildly spiced vegetables. Read less
