Any foodie worth his salt is familiar with the taste of ITC's iconic Bukhara and expects a certain standard from all ITC-run places. Peshawri, specializing in North-West Frontier cuisine, is among ITC Rajputana's most popular eating joints. Set up more than twenty years ago, the trademark open kitchen with a glass partition and rustic settings is their USP here as well. While they do not encourage the use of knives and forks, they do end up providing the same when guests look helplessly at the Dal and Raita! For starters, vegetarians could opt for the Paneer Tikka, Tandoori Aloo and Tandoori Phulgobhi, while meat lovers could try the Peshawri Kebab or the Burrah Kebab.
The food on offer is excellent and the signature Murgh Malai Kebab, Sikandari Raan, Dal Bukhara and Reshmi Kebabs are to die for. Non-vegetarians could also try the extremely popular Murgh Makhni and Murgh Khurchan, while the Paneer Makhni, Tandoori Aloo Masala, Paneer Khurchan, and Subz Peshawri find favour with vegetarians. You can have these with their Garlic Naan, Bharwan Kulcha, Pudina Paratha, Lachha Paratha or Roomali Roti, among others. There are four types of desserts here, each of which are outstanding: Phirni, Kulfi, Rasmalai and Gulab Jamun. Peshawri is one of the places where you don't mind spending because the money spent here is truly well worth it. Service is excellent; the staff is warm and friendly.
