With its prime location in the trendy enclave of Soi Ari, Salt has fast became one of Bangkok's most-frequented hipster hangouts. An open-plan glasshouse that spreads itself into a generous courtyard, the setting is the stuff of adverts—all effortlessly cool clientele, long-limbed locals, and laid-back fun.
But Salt isn't one of those 'all style and no substance' places. On the contrary, the reason people started flocking here in the first place was the well-executed Franco-Japanese food (with a few pizzas chucked in, too). And with reasonable prices and a changing roster of DJs, its popularity looks set to last.
