The original Mitho Restaurant was located on the ground floor of another building but after suffering damage during the April 2015 earthquake, the restaurant relocated upstairs to what was formerly the Camino Cafe. This actually worked to their favour as the elevated view offers a magnificent view of the hectic Thamel Chowk.Although the view has changed, the food at the new location is still the same Mitho quality that customers have come to expect. (It, needless to say, is better than Camino or it would not have gone out of business). Their menu is nearly as extensive as the aforementioned Rama’s Kitchen. Like most places in Thamel, Nepali, Indian, Chinese, Italian and Continental dishes are served. However it’s the local Nepali dishes that they excel at best.
Best Bet? Take their Nepali cooking class and learn how to make some of the amazing dishes you’ve been enjoying around Nepal!
