This fine establishment has been a Winnipeg icon for over 30 years, but don’t let its age fool you into thinking that it’s any less romantic than the rest of the restaurants on this list. The dining room has an old world feel to it, with a beautiful fireplace at the centre and traditional white-clothed tables complete with stark red chairs. Guests here will want to start off with the French onion soup, a favourite among all visitors. Make sure to find out the specials of the day as they always host something delicious. Other menu items that are a hit include the pecan-crusted pork tenderloin served with fig demi-glace, steak and lobster and the chicken and shrimp souvlaki. Although the meals are plentiful, try and save room for dessert which changes daily and is always presented on a beautiful serving tray. The service here is impeccable and you won’t find any high school student as your server, only highly trained experienced professionals who know exactly what to recommend and which wine to pair with what course. Yes, it is pricey but rest assured the romance here is high and you will leave feeling full and satisfied.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
