If you're looking for some authentic Mughlai biryani, then add Idrish Hotel to your Lucknow itinerary. Situated in one of the city’s most historic area Chowk, this small and partially-hidden dhaba serves an unmatched range of Mughlai flavours, prepared with fresh local spices. The restaurant was founded by an expert biryani maker called Mohammad Idris back in 1968, and is now managed by his sons Abu Bakr and Abu Hamza. This tiny establishment is not fancy but serves the best biryani in the city. The food c is cooked on coal, which gives the dishes a unique aroma and flavour. Everyday, people from near and far come to Idrish Hotel to savour its exquisite mutton biryani enriched with saffron.
