If you want to enjoy a good cafe, while soaking up the atmosphere of the Piazza San Marco without the hefty price tag, then try Aurora. The café has the same iconic location and postcard worthy panoramic views, but the ambience and the prices at Aurora are much more modest with portion sizes that are slightly more generous.
Caffe Aurora serves coffees, wines and spritz as well as sandwiches, pizzas and other meals, but the highlights here are the delicious desserts and ice creams. Aurora also doesn’t have an orchestra playing so you won’t need to pay the extra cover charge for the music, and they also don’t charge a mandatory gratuity or service fee.

Aurora is a great spot for people watching and relaxing while soaking up the iconic views during the day and the place livens up at night to become a rather trendy spot with art exhibitions, video projections, and DJ sets that carries on until 2am. Again, it’s much cheaper to eat and drink inside than outside.
