If it’s idli, it’s got to be Murugan Idli! In South India, especially Madurai and Chennai, Murugan Idli is synonymous with snack, read idli. You can have it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and then again even during those in between moments when you’re meeting a friend and you want a light 'tiffin' snack with coffee. The idlis here are easily the best in the city and the variety of chutneys that come with them are a mouth watering treat. The place also serves various types of dosas, vadai and pongal, but you are advised to start your meal with the fluffy, steaming hot rice cake. Rounding off a meal here will of course be the filter coffee, and with this done, you have well and truly had a taste of Tamil Nadu.
