With its amazing location right underneath Prague Castle, Petrin Park features incredible sweeping views of the Prague skyline in all its glory, along with hidden winding trails leading deep into forests, lush grassy fields perfect for picnics, trees sprouting cherry blossoms and apples, and wooden benches everywhere―perfect for two. Whether you’re making the trek up to Prague Castle or simply want to enjoy a sunny day with your lover, Petrin Park is that rare combination of beautiful, authentic, and free.Sure, you’ll see the occasional fellow tourist, but you’ll more likely run into regular Czech families enjoying sandwiches under the shade of a tree, children playing with dogs, or cyclers putting in their kilometers. If the views don’t quite satiate your curiosity, Petrin Tower, located on top of the hill, is a 60 m tall miniature replica of the Eiffel Tower that’s lit up majestically at night, and has an observation deck from where you can see not only Prague, but whole swaths of Bohemia. For a quirky side trip, go to the Petrin Hill Mirror Maze, or take the funicular up the hill to rest tired feet. And don’t forget to stop by here at night―though Petrin Park can be crowded during daylight hours, at night the place is deserted and Prague lights up, making it the perfect place for a romantic after-dinner stroll.
