Tourists will now be able to book tickets online if they wish to or are planning to visit the historic monuments in the country. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two private entities, i.e., Yatra and Bookmyshow, to make the online booking process smooth.
This move has been initiated to ensure world-class e-ticket booking service to visitors. The move has also been put into force with an aim of supporting government initiative ‘Digital India’, and facilitating the digitisation process of ASI’s service. Officials mentioned that this partnership between ASI and the other entities will prove to be a significant drive in promoting cultural heritage and tourism in India. As per the reports, visitors can avail this online booking service at no additional cost.
