The hamlet of Monterosso is a survivor. It is very much like a phoenix rising from its ashes. The only Cinque Terre village accessible by car, it is the farthest of them all from the town of La Spezia and is closest to Levanto. It is the resort town of Cinque Terre because of the wonderful beach it has to offer where you could perhaps rest under an umbrella and sip on a tall drink or two. This place also has quite a bit of a nightlife and decent options for accommodation unlike the four other villages.
