London has topped the list of the world’s most vegan-friendly city for 2019 as per a survey conducted by an online vegan restaurant guide, HappyCow. Cities like Berlin, New York and Los Angeles, and surprisingly, Bangkok are in the top 10 this time.
The ranks are based on three factors:
2) The number of restaurants with vegan, vegetarian or veggie menu options in the same five-mile radius
3) The surveyor’s impression of the overall vegan-friendliness of each city.
As per the Vegan Society's larger survey, the number of vegans has gone absolutely high from 2014-18. In the year 2018, there were approximately 600000 vegans in the UK, which is equivalent to 1.16 per cent of the British population.
Some of the prime vegan-friendly restaurants in London include PickyWops, Purezza and Young Vegans Pizza Shop. All these eateries are some of the best vegan pizza selling establishments.
Here is the list of top 10 vegan cities in the world:
London, UK
New York, US
Berlin, Germany
Los Angeles, US
Toronto, Canada
Warsaw, Poland
Portland, US
Bangkok, Thailand
Tel Aviv, Israel
Prague, Czech Republic
