Logan Square, in contrast to Wicker Park, stands as a cheaper place in terms of nightlife to hang with young people at night. Also unlike Wicker Park, Logan Square is one of the most diverse neighbourhoods in Chicago, having a large Hispanic population and attracting college kids from around the city. My favourite bar by far is The Whistler, which hosts a live band every night and no cover charge. It’s a great place to catch some jazz and a good cocktail, with an excellent atmosphere in the hot-interesting-people-in-low-lighting kind of way. Lula Cafe is great if you’re looking for something high-end. If it’s warm out check out the farmer’s market, open Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm.
