What if I told you about a small island with zero inhabitants, pristine white sand beaches, crystal clear blue waters and absolutely no mosquitoes. That would sound like heaven, no?Welcome to Pulau Kreusik, the hidden gem of Banda Aceh. The island is located about a one hour fast boat ride from Banda Aceh, past Weh. It’s quite small but if you’ve ever wanted to feel like you are stranded on a desert island that is small enough to fit in a comic strip, well, this is it.
You’ll have to hire a boat and plan accordingly. Obviously bringing your own food and water (and beer) is a necessity. A blanket or sleeping bag would be nice if you plan to stay for the night. Realistically, however, you are more likely to be tired of the Sun and lack of any facilities to want to stay overnight.
