Before you decide on what to do in Krakow, get started with an introduction to the city. Probably the most Polish city in the country, Krakow in all its magical splendour, is steeped in legend and myth—the city was apparently founded as a result of the defeat over a dragon. Most parts of the city are picture perfect and each frame is post-card worthy. Even after all these years, the Old Town has been beautifully preserved, and although the city might seem like it’s straight out of the medieval ages, it’s kept pace with the developing world and offers a plethora of sights, sounds and tastes including world-class dining and a thriving nightlife scene.
