Jagatipatt Temple is housed in Naggar castle’s open courtyard. This temple is very pretty and rich in architecture. It is a stone-walled structure with triangular wooden roofs and intricate carvings on wooden windows. There is an interesting legend that says that the stone slab in the temple here was carried by honeybees that were an incarnation of all the deities.A very striking feature of the temple when one is roaming in the courtyard of the Naggar Castle is the exquisite wooden door that is almost always closed. The Jagatipatt Temple commands respect among locals and in case of any natural calamities like earthquakes, people from nearby villages gather here to discuss the course of action. They also collectively perform rituals and offerings to the gods in the Jagatipatt Temple.
Inside the temple, the ceiling contains wood carvings set in panels. The wooden beams are carved with sharp designs of fluid motifs with beautiful pattern.
The triangular slab of stone inside the temple is surrounded with flowers and offerings. It is said to have been brought here from the summit of Deo Tibba, a mountain, by a swarm of wild honeybees!
