The Department of State has issued a grave warning to Americans living in the region. According to the Department of State, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), and Al Qaeda, alongside other organisations are planning to attack Western targets. According to them, such attacks could be carried out in the form of suicide operations, assassinations, kidnapping, hijacking, or bombing.
The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), has also echoed similar concerns, and has asked its citizens to monitor local media reports closely, and follow the advice given by local authorities.
However, the UK or the US have not yet issued any notice against travelling to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or other parts in the region.
