DXB is the busiest airport in the Middle East, and by the looks of things, it won’t be long before it’s the busiest in the world (for international travellers, it’s already listed at number four). Last year, Dubai International Airport handled nearly 51 million passengers, a number that continues to grow.
Since opening Terminal 3 in 2008, DXB has won many accolades for the sleek, sci-fi-esque addition, which has several cushy amenities, including three spas, two zen gardens, and over 11,000 sq m of retail space.

Dubai International Airport is 4 km outside of the city centre, and it can be reached by taxi, bus and metro. The metro stops at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and is definitely the cheapest option. Taxis are the next best option, and are available around the clock. Fares start at AED 20, and tend to average around AED 40-75.
