The complex was inaugurated in 2018 and it quickly became one of the most visited tourist attractions in Pelling. The statue is said to be the tallest Chenrezig statue in the world. Chenrezig Singkham Riwo Potala, located a short distance (2.5 km) from Pelling in West Sikkim, is home to India’s first glass skywalk and an experience so beautiful that it will leave you at a loss for words. It’s the perfect mix of spirituality and natural beauty.
It stands at an elevation of 9,200 ft from the sea level, and is located close to the famous Sanga Choeling Monastery. The complex is home to a 137 ft statue of the bodhisattva Chenrezig and a glass skywalk. The complex was inaugurated in 2018 and it quickly became one of the most visited tourist attractions in Pelling. The statue is said to be the tallest Chenrezig statue in the world.
