Servoz
On days you just want to settle peacefully and behold the magnificent peaks of Fiz Mountains, the village of Servoz is your best bet. Already a hit among climbers, this village also renders a hearty view of its steeper neighbour, Mont Blanc.
Argentière Village
The steep cliffs of Aiguille Verte and the glaciers at Argentière village, about 8 km north of Chamonix, are the perfect backdrop to your weekend. If you need a dose of civilisation, visit the baroque church and 19th century chapel and also a small handful of nice eateries.
Vallorcine
Nature lovers will find plenty of chamois, red squirrels and deer in Vallorcine keep themselves busy taking pictures. Home to adorable species of fauna and flora, this village near the Swiss border has remained untouched and au natural for a long time.
