Ayodhya to soon have a digital museum on Lord Ram

Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya will soon be home to a digital museum on Hindu deity Rama to promote tourism in this region. The UP cabinet recently approved this proposal to boost tourism in this part of the country.

Referring to this development, Cabinet Minister Shrikant Sharma briefed the media personnel about this meeting chaired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The minister also stated that a proposal for beautifying Ayodhya and boosting tourism has been approved by the UP Cabinet. A digital museum based on Lord Ram, a food plaza, a statue of Lord Ram, and landscaping will soon be coming to the city.
The UP Government has also approved the budget to install a 221 m tall statue of Rama in Ayodhya. Reports suggest that a budget of INR 447.46 crore had been approved for the complete development of Ram Nagari Ayodhya by the UP Cabinet. Apart from purchasing land to execute this plan, the budget money will also be used to beautify Ayodhya, and other tourism-related developments.
The Cabinet Minister further informed that in another decision, the UP cabinet approved setting up of a tourist police station in Varanasi, to help tourists avoid hassles during their trip in this region.
Earlier, referring to the statue, UP Principal Secretary (Information) Avanish Awasthi said that it will be built of bronze, and that its height would be 151 m, whereas its overhead umbrella would be of 20 m, and the pedestal would be 50 m.
