If you are planning to visit the Taj Mahal in the coming days, you will not be allowed to carry with a number of things. And to make sure that you don’t find yourself in a tight spot, ensure that your handbag is free of such things. Referring to this, the ASI stated that this move comes in the wake of saving tourists’ items from getting stolen or damaged. However, Agra Tourism Guild Association is not very happy with this announcement, and stated that this move will lead to harassment of the tourists, as most of them are not from nearby areas, and will no longer have a spot to keep their belongings safe.
As of now, the ASI officials have just put up a notice and assured that the ban will come into effect in a few days. Initially, tourists will be allowed to keep such items there, as most of them will not be aware of such a development.
