As per the latest reports, Sicily is encouraging tourists to visit the island. Further, it is offering to pay half the price of tourists’ plane tickets, as well as pay for one in three of their night stays at a hotel. Sicily’s regional government is trying to identify ways to boost tourism in the region, and reportedly, will also make entry to museums and archaeological sites free. Tourists will be able to avail such vouchers from the island’s tourism website.
