The commerical heart of the cityNoteworthy for: Connaught Place was built by the British in the shape of a horseshoe, in the hope of bringing good luck to shoppers and shopkeepers.

The area is often depicted in Bollywood blockbusters and has been home to many of Delhi's best-loved cinemas over the years. You'll also find Western-style shops and restaurants, Government emporiums and an underground, air-conditioned market, Palika Bazaar.
