Tucked away in a classic old Hutong building north of Beihai Park, Baoyue Chupin serves typical and delicious "homemade" Chinese food. It's inexpensive, with some noodle dishes costing just RMB 10, but the menu is so innovative that it's worth trying many dishes.
The chef here has previously worked at a large restaurant and is very careful with the ingredients. An English menu is available.
