Modern, five star chic in an ancient wrapping

Talk of the town: Moods is decorated with quotations from the book the Three Golden Keys, by author and illustrator Peter Sís, though you'll have to stay in every room to read it all.
Uber-designed and shiny, decidedly modern Moods is perhaps the last thing you'd expect to find in an old building in the back streets of Prague's Old Town. One of the city's best boutique hotels, Moods' decor is chic but also rather cheerful, with flashes of dayglo colour in the spacious, comfortable rooms, and tiny strips of Japanese-style garden sitting unexpectedly in the bright interior.

Slate lined bathrooms give the accommodation an air of luxury, while staff show are friendly and helpful. Hardly Prague's cheapest hotel, five-star Moods goes the extra mile to earn its price tag.
