From the ivy-covered facade of the Baroque building to the antique wood fire burning all winter in the hallway, this is a romantic hotel. Each of the 23 rooms are individually decorated to be ostentatious yet not overbearing with walls bedecked in embossed wallpaper, antique furniture and luxuriant tapestries, and many of the original features from coffered ceilings and crossed cornices are still intact. Romantic and decadent Baroque hotel in Old Rome
Word to the wise: If you're looking for a romantic treat, book one of the two top floor superior deluxe rooms, which each have poster canopy beds, frescoed ceilings and private terraces.
Just off the historic Campo de'Fiori square, the location couldn't be better for exploring the sights, with the market right on the doorstep by day and the many bars and restaurants to explore by night - though it can get noisy on the weekend. For the price, this 3-star hotel offers particularly good value across the board, from design to location.
Do note, while a buffet breakfast is included, there is no on-site bar or restaurant.
