As counting trends solidify in Assam, the BJP is poised for a third consecutive term, with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma leading the charge. While the Congress has opened leads in several constituencies, the ruling party and its allies appear set for victory. Other parties like AIUDF and Raijor Dal have secured leads in a few seats.

In the Makrana Assembly Elections Results 2023, jakir hussain Gesawat from the Indian National Congress (INC) is leading with 91541 votes against Sumita Bhinchar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who has secured 60859 votes. Roopa Ram, the candidate representing the BJP, secured victory as the MLA from Makrana in the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections. Makrana is a rural constituency in Rajasthan's Nagaur district and is part of the Nagaur Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. It has a substantial electorate of 2,37,925 voters.

The Congress party has released its third list of 22 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections, bringing their total declared seats to 87. The opposition bloc, including alliance partners, has announced candidates for 102 seats. Three seats remain a point of contention between Congress and Raijor Dal.
