A case has been filed against UP minister Shahid Manzoor for allegedly violating the model code of conduct. The minister allegedly distributed cycles (which is the election symbol of Samajwadi Party) in Ganga Nagar area of Meerut on Tuesday. A complaint has also been sent to the election commission.

Meerut: Reacting to the demolition of the commercial complex, former UP cabinet minister Shahid Manzoor's said, "The complex has been demolished because I did not accede to BJP’s demands in the zila panchayat elections. I was asked not to support the opposition candidate (in this case the Samajwadi Party). And if I did, they said I will have to face heavy losses. Since I did not change my stand, a demolition notice was issued.”
