Recently a popular dairy brand in India came up with the most heartfelt tribute to late actors Soumitra Chattopadhyay and Swatilekha Sengupta as their last film together ‘Belashuru’ released in theatres on May 20. While Soumitra Chatterjee passed away on November 15 last year his ‘Belaseshe’ co-star Swatilekha breathed her last on June 16.

The story revolves around an elderly couple Biswanath Sarkar (Soumitra Chattopadhyay) and Arati Sarkar (Swatilekha Sengupta). It focuses on different relationships that exist within a family and the bond that parents, children and other members of the family share together. This film is also the much-anticipated sequel to the 2015 hit 'Bela Seshe'.

The 71-year-old actress was under treatment for a long time for kidney-related issues.

The poster is no doubt a tribute to the thespian as you can see Soumitra combing his on-screen wife Swatilekha Sengupta’s hair in the first poster from the film which will release in May this year.

Swatilekha Sengupta, who is considered as one of the legendary artists of Bengali theatre, breathed her last today (June 16). The news left the industry in complete shock. Swatilekha, who was hospitalised, has been suffering from kidney-related issues for the past 25 days. Her condition further deteriorated and she breathed her last today in the afternoon at a private hospital. She was 71.

While the film slated for a May 20 release, it looks like the makers have already started their promotional campaign with sharing candid pictures from the film’s shoot every now and then just like this new set for working stills from the shooting floor.
