25 years after launch, Age of Empires II finally arrives on Mac
Age of Empires II is now officially available on Mac more than two decades after its original release. Microsoft-owned World’s Edge and Feral Interactive have launched Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition for macOS through Steam, giving Mac users native access to the strategy game for the first time. The macOS version is now available and is built specifically for modern Macs with Apple silicon. The release removes the need for compatibility tools, cloud gaming services, or Windows installations that Mac users previously relied on to play the game.
