WWE presented the June 8 episode of Monday Night RAW from the Accor Arena in Paris, France. It was one of the most explosive nights for the red brand, featuring King and Queen of the Ring opening round matches that were won by a top star and rising name. Moreover, it also saw a promo clash between LA Knight and Jey Uso and Rey Mysterio clash in a dream match, but went on to be unmasked after the bout in a shocking sight.

What happened in the opening segment of WWE RAW in Paris?

Oba Femi opened the show and vowed to win the King of the Ring tournament, and he even teased a third match with Brock Lesnar. Dominik Mysterio came out to confront him with verbal jabs. JD McDonagh came up behind Oba Femi and hit him with the chair, but Oba Femi didn’t move and sent both of them packing.

Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green vs. Liv Morgan

The first bout of the night was the Fatal 4-Way opening round in the Queen of the Ring tournament. Following an exciting showdown, all the women hit their finishers on each other. Just when Chelsea Green hit the Unprettier on Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan rolled her up for the pin to win and advance in the tournament.

Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria

Lyra Valkyria challenged Sol Ruca for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Both women delivered a highly captivating bout that garnered loud chants from the Paris audience.
In the final moments of the bout, Valkyria got trapped in the middle rope, allowing Ruca to hit the Sol Snatcher to score the pinfall and retain her title.

Rey Mysterio vs. Penta

Penta defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against his hero, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. Both men delivered a match that was in every sense a dream showdown and displayed their lucha libre culture to the fullest inside the ring, and the fans chanted ‘This is Awesome.’ As the match came to a close, Mysterio hit a 619 and went up the top rope to hit the splash, but Penta got the knees up and delivered a Destroyer to win and retain the title. Rusev and Ethan Page attacked both men, but Dragon Lee came to their aid and was taken out by Page. Rusev and Page then took off Mysterio’s mask, leading to Chad Gable coming down and taking out both men.

Seth Rollins vs. Je'Von Evans vs. Ricky Saints vs. Talla Tonga

The main event featured the Fatal 4-Way King of the Ring opening round match. The bout impressed the audience, featuring four distinct in-ring styles and being a stellar hit. In the final moments of the bout, Seth Rollins hit two Stomps on Talla Tonga and then hit one on Ricky Saints. Austin Theory interfered, but Montez Ford took him. Then, Bron Breakker came into the ring and hit Rollins with a spear. However, Je'Von Evans came out of nowhere and hit the OG Cutter on Saints to pick up the win. Also read: 'Halla bol, young man!': Vaibhav Sooryavanshi receives heartfelt message from WWE's Drew McIntyre
