Great news for wildlife lovers! Madhya Pradesh’s Madhav National Park has been declared as India’s 58th tiger reserve. This decision is a part of India’s efforts to protect and conserve its rich wildlife, mainly tigers.

Home to a growing tiger population

Madhav National Park is situated in the Shivpuri district of Chambal. With this addition, now Madhya Pradesh has become home to nine tiger reserves, which marks the state’s role in wildlife conservation. As of now, the park has five tigers, including two cute cubs.


In coming time, Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, is expected to release two more tigers into the reserve.

Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav highlighted the importance of restoring ecological diversity, as emphasized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
