The belief in past lives

In countries and cultures around the world, there are different views about the past life. Some believe that every soul has had a past life, and the experiences from those lives shape the person, while others believe that past life is a myth forwarded by cons to mint money.
But for believers, past life experiences shape their current personalities, and some memories, especially painful or traumatic ones, leave a deep mark on the soul, which carries over into the next life.

2/8

Past life regressions

A buzzword in the supernatural and occult genre right now is ‘Past life regression’. This practice is kind of like a hypnosis that helps people access memories from what they believe to be a previous life.
Regressions are guided by experts, and help people enter a state of mind where they can search through their previous memories, and get answers to the experiences they have been having in the current life.
And here we mention 6 common fears that many believe are linked to past life experiences and shape people how they are today.

3/8

The fear of water

There are so many people who are terrified of water. This fear manifests in the form of going to ponds, swimming pools, beaches, oceans, or even the nearby river. And although they haven’t had any mishaps with water in their lifetime, there is still an unexplained fear in their heart.
And if this sounds familiar, this might be a bad experience with water in the past life. It is believed that if in a past life a person had drowned or witnessed a drowning, he or she would develop a fear of water over the next lives.

4/8

Fear of bright lights

Bright lights might seem harmless and ‘normal’ to many people, but for some others, these lights trigger a sense of fear and unease that is simply unexplainable. Some people never turn on the lights on bright settings, and they can never have an answer as to why this happens.
And so it is believed that some people might be facing anxiety in bright lights or flashing lights because of a blinding accident in their past life.
This could be an accident, an explosion, or anything that blinded them and the soul remembers nothing else.

5/8

Public speaking fear

While the fear of public speaking is mostly attributed to low confidence, there are some people who are perfectly confident, have an amazing personality, and yet have problems speaking in front of crowds.
And for them, it is said that this could be because of a public incident in their past life. If a soul has a past life experience of public humiliation, punishment, or execution in public, it might still be deep down within a person.

6/8

Fear of animals

Animals, especially pets, are wonderful friends. Be it the tail-wagging dogs, or the little ferrets. But some people are terrified of animals, even domestic ones, but have had no bad experiences with them in the past.
And this fear is believed to stem from a past life experience where they suffered because of an animal. Maybe they were attacked by a wolf, bitten by a snake, or trampled by horses.

7/8

Fear of heights

Heights are scary even for the best of people. The feeling of looking below from a considerable floor can make people dizzy just by thinking about it. But apart from the regular fear of heights, some people feel anxious and disturbed when they have to go upstairs, or are in lifts to go on a higher floor.
And this is sometimes attributed to past life experiences. They may have fallen from a cliff or were pushed from a higher floor, resulting in death.

8/8

Fear of fire

A strong fear of fire, even when you just see a burning candle, goes much deeper than just a fear of bright fire. And it is believed that this could be a cause of past life memories, where people would have lost a loved one to a fire, got burnt in a trapped building, had experienced bombing during wars, and the likes.
