Why Indians are obsessed with jugaad
Indians are known for their jugaad techniques i.e creating a solution out of every possible thing. And let’s just say, they are pretty great at it too. Even so much that stars Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma starred in an ad that is all about how Indians look for jugaad, even though it’s not practical sometimes. The ad is pretty hilarious as Anushka is seen sighing off at Virat’s effort to tie the TV cables with her hair clips. Let’s take a look at why Indians are so obsessed with jugaad!
Minimalistic culture
Even though people have the means to buy certain items, they will refrain from doing so, because many are obsessed with a minimalistic culture. They like to keep things at a minimum, rather than dumping the house with all sorts of devices and things that almost have no use, after one or two uses.
Saves time
Jugaad comes in handy when there’s very little time and resources left. Jugaad is a clever way of survival without much cost or effort. Just a smart mind, some strategies and a few things to get that jugaad done.
Doesn’t require much money
Jugaad doesn’t require any money! Just a few things. Indians know just use a few things in order to solve a problem. Our ancestors have used several methods for survival that have been passed down from generation to generation, simply because it’s very useful!
