Stop investing in these things, become a MINIMALIST

Becoming a minimalist is the new norm of living for many and slowly many are adapting to this lifestyle. You are stress free, have money to spend on the right things that actually matter. This lifestyle helps declutter your life and brings in positivity. Stop buying these things, try minimalist living.

2/8

Try public transport

Before jumping to the list of what not to buy, decide to use public transport over your own vehicle. You can take the metro, auto-rickshaws, cab services, e-rickshaws and even walk small distances. You release less car emissions, spend nothing on petrol and are free from constant upkeep of a vehicle.

3/8

Chuck the junk

All of us tend to accumulate things that we feel “might come in handy” or for a “just in case scenario” but if something has not been used for months, get rid of it.

4/8

Donate the excessive

Too many clothes, utensils including plastic storage boxes etc, read books… donate them all. You will feel lighter. Sit down, list out what you truly do not need, be honest to yourself and make someone else happy.

5/8

Buy only the essentials

Quit hoarding so much makeup, shower gels, lotions etc. You do not need so many. Use all that you already have first and then buy new ones. You can also stock up everything for the whole year during huge sales and then not buy anything after that.

6/8

Invest in experiences

Instead of spending money on small things which do not really matter, invest in experiences as life gets rich only with those moments. Travel, trek, try new sports, etc.

7/8

Buy multipurpose tools

Minimalists but tools which serve several purposes. Starting with something like a swiss knife which has many tools instead of one.

8/8

Travel light

Whenever you are travelling, pack light. Just take the essentials, a pair or two of comfortable jeans, one flip flop, one pair of sport shoes, a thin cotton towel, etc.
