Identifying and then treating childhood trauma is very necessary

Having issues and problems in your adult life is not always situation based. Many issues can be a result of your personal battles with yourself or some sort of trauma that you have faced earlier. That being said, many people with a traumatic childhood tend to have bigger issues and problems that make it difficult for them to face the current challenges. In account of this, here are some signs that indicate you have had a traumatic childhood.

2/6

Never trusting anyone

When you face huge issues or trauma right from your childhood, you slowly develop trust issues. And this continues until you hit a dead end in your adulting years, which affects the very foundation of friendships and romantic bonds.

3/6

Overreacting

If you hear, “you overreact a lot” quite often, then chances are you have faced situations at a young age that have unintentionally forced you to overreact, probably because you want to protect yourself from getting hurt again.

4/6

Inability to maintain relationships

Has every single one of your relationship ended abruptly? If you have faced childhood trauma, then you may not have a very strong bonding with your parents. And so, the lack of proper bonding makes it difficult for you to retain a successful relationship with your partner because of the lack of trust, miscommunication and fear.

5/6

Sense of loneliness

Feeling lonely and isolated from the rest of the world is a sign that you’re not ready to face your demons just yet. Not being able to maintain relationships can turn out to be very lonely and this may further lead you into isolation.

6/6

Lack of concentration

If you face a lack of concentration, it’s probably because you have a number of different thoughts circling around in your head related to the traumatic incidents you might have faced earlier in your life.
